The Smiling Farm's Bourbon Pecan Crusted Salmon

Ingredients:

  • 4   salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
  • 2   tablespoons Smiling Farm Bourbon Pecan Seasoning
  • 1   tablespoon olive oil
  • 1   tablespoon honey (optional, for a touch of sweetness)
  • 1   teaspoon Dijon mustard (optional, for a tangy kick)
  • 1   tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • Fresh cracked black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley or chives, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Prep the Salmon:
Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. This will help the seasoning adhere better and create a nice crust. Place the fillets on a plate or baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  2. Season the Salmon:
Drizzle the olive oil evenly over the fillets, then sprinkle both sides of each fillet with the Smiling Farm Bourbon Pecan Seasoning. Gently press the seasoning into the flesh of the fish so it sticks. If you like a touch of sweetness, drizzle the honey over the top of the fillets. For a tangy twist, you can also spread a small amount of Dijon mustard on the top side of the fillets before adding the seasoning.
  3. Cook the Salmon:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the salmon fillets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or in an oven-safe skillet. Roast the salmon for about 12-15 minutes, or until it reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C) and flakes easily with a fork. If you like a slightly crispier top, you can broil the salmon for the last 1-2 minutes      of cooking.
  4. Finish with Lemon:
Once the salmon is cooked, remove it from the oven and drizzle fresh lemon juice over the fillets to enhance the flavors. You can also garnish with freshly chopped parsley or chives for added color and freshness.
  5. Serve:
Serve your Bourbon Pecan Crusted Salmon with your favorite sides such as      roasted vegetables, wild rice, or a fresh green salad.

Suggested Sides:

  • Roasted Brussels sprouts or asparagus
  • Lemon-garlic quinoa or couscous
  • A fresh spinach or arugula salad with a tangy vinaigrette
  • Sweet potato wedges or mashed sweet potatoes

Enjoy this flavorful and nutty Bourbon Pecan Salmon – it’s a perfect balance of savory and sweet with a crisp, flavorful crust!
